Back on Board

After a very long day yesterday we are finally back on board Mustang Sally in our berth at RQYS.
It is always a long jaunt to get back up here however yesterday ended up a bit special -  we got out of bed at about 5am in order to get a taxi down to Dromana to catch the Airport bus which takes about 3 hours.  We then had a two hour flight to Brisbane which ended up taking closer to 4 hours due to bad weather in Melbourne and then a taxi ride but we did end up making it to RQYS late in the arvo with enough time to unload our bags and head up to the  bar for a much needed drink and a meal before hitting the sack pretty early.

We were smart enough to arrange for the outside of the boat to have a bath before we arrived so she looked pretty much like she did when we left which was great.  Today we have been doing a few boat jobs including a bit of a polish, some engine works, put on a new main halyard (another Vectran one thanks to the Jazz Players spares) and think Mark is about to go for a swim to check out the bottom and give it a bit of a clean as sure it will have a bit of growth on it after 3months.  We are thinking of spending perhaps another week here before we start wandering our way north.  It is always a nice spot to stop and there is plenty going on at the club with there school holiday programs so there are people everywhere.

Hopefully next time we will have a few photos to add
